## Symptoms

- * Hostname\> add static-route destination 172.16.0.0/12 nexthop gateway logical
  Wan\\ Network
  Corp\\ Network

  Hostname\> add static-route destination 172.16.0.0/12 nexthop gateway logical Wan\\ Network monitored-ip-option off metric 0

  Error message: "Illegal characters in static-route logical"

* Hostname\> set application-group name Group_Of_App add application-name N
  Nature\\ /\\ Conservation
  Network\\ Utilities
  Newsgroups\\ /\\ Forums

  Hostname\> set application-group name Group_Of_App add application-name News\\ /\\ Media

  Error message: "Illegal characters in application-group name"

* Running `show configuration` shows the command as valid.

## Cause

In Quantum Spark Appliances, spaces in the names of Internet-Connection or objects are not supported in clish.

## Solution

**Workaround:**

* For Internet-Connection or custom objects, replace the space with: `_`
* For an application-group, use `application-id` instead of `application-name`.
