# sk173172 - FTP links do not open when using SSL Network Extender (SNX) in Chrome

## Symptoms

- FTP links that are configured as native applications fail to open from SNX when using Chrome browser version 82 and above

## Cause

Google Chrome deprecated and removed support for FTP URLs starting from version 82 ([see this article](https://chromestatus.com/feature/6246151319715840)).

As a result, when a user tries to launch an FTP application from SNX, no new tab opens and there is no warning.
