# sk173164 - BPDU Forwarding Traffic is not forwarded on Bridge Mode with Bond Interface

## Symptoms

- In versions R80.40 and higher, bond interfaces behave differently depending on whether the interface 
is bonded or not with bridge mode:

* Bridge Mode with bond interface (stp is disabled) -\> BPDU forwarding is not working
* Bridge Mode with non-bond interface (stp is disabled) -\> BPDU forwarding is working

## Cause

If the target BPDU has a MAC address that ends with 00 - it will pass (not bonded), however, if the destination is a 802.3ad MAC - it is not processed by Linux.

## Solution

BPDU not forwarded on Bridge Mode with Bond interface is expected behavior.

Linux 2.6.17 version and lower bridge interface did not follow the specification and allowed BDPU traffic to pass.
