# sk173047 - Gaia and Mobile Access Portals do not load after an import of an ECC certificate

## Symptoms

- * After the user imports an ECC certificate to the Mobile Access Portal or the Gaia Portal, the pages do not load.
* This message can appear if the user's browser is Internet Explorer or Firefox:

  ```
  
  IE error :ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
  Firefox error: Error code: SSL_ERROR_INCORRECXT_SIGNATURE_ALGORITHM
  ```

* The Gaia Portal loads correctly if the user moves it to a port other than 443 and replaces the Gaia Portal's certificate with the ECC certificate. <br />

## Cause

The cptls function in the MultiPortal's code checks for the signature algorithm of the certificate instead of the public key type of the certificate.
