# sk172940 - cme_menu gets stuck while trying to check the configured services or configured controllers

## Symptoms

- * cme_menu does not provide any response for unlimited amount of time, if these actions are done: cme_menu -\> 4(VMware) -\> 1(NSX-T) -\> 3(Manage Registered Services) -\> any option -\> any controller.
* cme_menu does not provide any response for unlimited amount of time, if these actions are done: cme_menu -\> 4(VMware) -\> 1(NSX-T) -\> 1(Manage NSX-T Controller) -\> 4(Show Configured Controllers)
* Only ctrl+c helps to regain control
* /var/log/CPcme/cme_menu.log show only the following debug messages: "CME_MENU DEBUG Enter check_connection CME_MENU DEBUG Sending GET request with url https:///api/v1/node/".

## Cause

There is a proxy server configured in Management server WebUI  
When CME detects a configured proxy server it tries to communicate with everything in the network through only the proxy server.   
This can cause traffic to go through unexpected paths and interrupt the communication
