# sk172804 - Upgrade of VSX Cluster or VSX Gateway fails, <em>vsx_util upgrade</em> command repeatedly fails with error "<code>Previous operation was not completed.</code>"

## Symptoms

- * When users try to change the version of the VSX Cluster or VSX Gateway, the *vsx_util upgrade* command fails and shows the error message "` Previous operation was not completed`."

* After the failure, the *vsx_util upgrade* " command does not start another upgrade operation. The "*vsx_util upgrade*" command again ends with an instruction to resume the previous incomplete operation.
