# sk171904 - Remote Access VPN Client disconnects from a Locally Managed SMB appliance after enabling the Two-Factor Authentication

## Symptoms

- * Remote Access VPN Client disconnects from the Locally Managed SMB appliance after approximately 30-40 minutes.

* While a Remote Access VPN Client is connected to the SMB appliance, the 'Connected remote users' field in the WebUI does not show the user's name (only the client's IP address).

* Before a Remote Access VPN Client disconnects, a log shows that authentication for the user failed in Active Directory, even though AD is not used.

* The issue started after enabling the Two-Factor Authentication in the VPN Blade on the SMB appliance.
