## Solution

To enable the Uplink ports and the required daemons, you must manually activate your Quantum Maestro Orchestrator in these cases:

* If you performed a clean install of R81.10 or higher on a Quantum Maestro Orchestrator.

* You restored a Quantum Maestro Orchestrator that runs R81.10 or higher to its factory defaults.

**Note** - This does not apply if you upgrade an existing Quantum Maestro Orchestrator from the R80.20SP version to the R81.10 (or higher) version.

**Follow the applicable scenario:**

* If you did **not** configure Security Groups on the Quantum Maestro Orchestrator yet, then there is **no** configuration to import.
You can activate the Orchestrator immediately in one of these ways:

  * During the first login to the command line, enter "`y`" when asked to activate the Orchestrator.

  * Run the "`orchd activate`" command in the Expert mode.

* If there are configured Security Groups on the Quantum Maestro Orchestrator, and it is **necessary** to import the existing configuration, then do **not** activate the Orchestrator when you first log in to the command line.

As an alternative, import the Orchestrator configuration according to the applicable procedure, and only then activate the Orchestrator with the "`orchd activate`" command in the Expert mode
