## Symptoms

- * Some Threat Prevention (Anti-Bot/Anti-Virus/IPS) protections do not appear in SmartConsole under **Threat Prevention** \> **Exceptions** \> **Global Exceptions** ).
* The protections appear in the logs.
* The user can add exceptions from the logs only.
## Cause

These are new signatures that have yet to be deployed in the local package. Not every signature is added to the local package, as there could be many variants under the same package family.
## Solution

This is an expected behavior.

New signatures exist first in the Threat-cloud before they are implemented in the local package in SmartConsole, As a result,, the only way you can add an exception is via the log.

As a workaround: Add an exception via the logs and change source/Destination to **Any** .
