# sk171503 - "Failed to fetch objects from Data Center. Please try again soon." error in SmartConsole when importing Datacenter objects

## Symptoms

- * Datacenter shows "connected." However, when the user attempts to import Datacenter objects, the Datacenter fails and displays this message:

  "Failed to fetch objects from Data Center. Please try again soon."
  ```

* AWS tag-based rules are not enforced.<br />

## Cause

A resource was left behind from a VM that was moved to another VPC or was deleted, but is still referenced in the Security Group.
