# sk171494 - IPS Profile could not be deleted because it is referenced by other objects

## Symptoms

- * When trying to delete an IPS Profile the following error appears: Object could not be deleted because it is referenced by other objects
* "Where Used" option for that object shows no results.
* In cpm.elg: ERROR coresvc.internal.ObjectCrudSvcImpl \[taskExecutor-25\]: ObjectDeletionException with objId = 305f496c-194c-4cfa-818d-14bbbfc9f18b, objName = Optimized-HueHo-1400, reason = it is used by the following object(s): \[b\]gatewayStaticProfilesConfiguration\[/b\] objid:\[3c91a29d-e78d-4abb-80b6-f553c0d77370\] (field:ipsEngineSettings)

## Cause

This profile is still being used for core protections.

## Solution

1. Opened the "IPS Protections" tab and filter by "Core"  
2. Open one of the core protections.  
3. Under "Gateways", edit all the gateways that are still using this profile and try to delete it again.
