# sk171433 - "Can't connect to VPN. Failed to verify server identity. Contact the system administrator." error in Capsule VPN

## Symptoms

- * "*Can't connect to VPN. Failed to verify server identity. Contact the system administrator.*" error in Capsule VPN after deleting a VPN site and creating a VPN site with the same name.

* A change of the certificate for an existing Capsule VPN connection causes connection failures.

## Cause

The VPN site name is stored in a binary format in Windows Registry and is not deleted when an administrator deletes the current VPN site and creates a VPN site with the same name again.
