# sk171252 - "Validate SIC connectivity and install policy for IPS enables gateways" error in SmartConsole

## Symptoms

- "`There are no IPS update statuses. Validate SIC connectivity and install policy for IPS enables gateways`" error is displayed in Threat Prevention policy updates, Anti-Virus and IPS.

## Cause

Only VSX configured on the environment. The IPS/Anti-Virus/Anti-Bot blades are not enabled on VS0. All Threat Prevention blades that are enabled on VS objects must also be enabled on the VSX object (VS0).
