# sk170921 - /var/log partition is full on a specific Security Gateway Module (SGM)

## Symptoms

- * The output of the `asg_resource` command shows that the `/var/log` partition is above the threshold for only one SGM.
* The output of `df -ha` on the relevant SGM shows the same results for the `/var/log` partition.
* The procedure in [sk33997](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=
  sk33997 ) shows that the biggest directory is `/var/log/asg_info/`.
* The directory `/var/log/asg_info/` does not exist on any other SGM.

## Cause

`/var/log/asg_info/` is a temporary directory used by the `asg_info` utility during information collection.   

This temporary directory is created on the SGM on which `asg_info` is executed. When the `asg info` process finishes, the temporary directory is deleted. The compressed output file is located under `/var/log/`.  

If `asg_info `was interrupted by the user or exited prematurely, the temporary directory `/var/log/asg_info/` may not be cleaned correctly.
