# sk170814 - In some scenarios, upgrading the Security Gateway from R80.20.10 Build 1491 to a newer version via the SMP locks the sfwd process and disconnects the Security Gateway from the SMP

## Symptoms

- In some scenarios, when the user upgrades the Security Gateway from R80.20.10 Build 1491 to a newer version via the SMP, the following occurs:

* The *sfwd* process is locked.
* The Security Gateway is disconnected from the SMP.
* The `ver` command via expert mode is stuck.
