# sk170797 - When configuring the VTI tunnel, the Peer object name is not found with "VTI 'vpnt1' failed to attach: Peer object name not found" error message

## Symptoms

- When configuring the VTI tunnel, the Peer object name is not found with "VTI 'vpnt1' failed to attach: Peer object name not found" error message.

## Cause

When configuring the VTI tunnel, the parameter Peer is not the remote VPN endpoint IP Address. It should be the name used in the Policy and defined through SmartDashboard.
