# sk170444 - How to uninstall Endpoint Security Client remotely

## Solution

This procedure shows how to uninstall an Endpoint Security Client remotely from the Security Management*.*

**Supported versions**
----------------------

**Client:** E84.30 and higher  
**Server:**   

* SmartEndpoint - R81 take 2 and higher (as a custom push operation)
* Endpoint Web Management Console - R80.40 take 82 and higher (as a dedicated push operation)

**Procedure in SmartEndpoint**
------------------------------

1. Go to the **Users and Computers** tab
2. In the **Global Actions** section, select **Push Operation**.
3. In the **Create Push Operation** window, select **Client Settings**.
4. Select **Custom Push**
5. Click **Next**.
6. In a versions higher than R81: Select **Uninstall client**.
7. In the **Select Entities** page, select the computers on which the operation should be performed.
8. Click **Next**.
9. In the **Configure Operation** page:   
   In SmartEndpoint R81, in the **Type** field, enter 107. In versions higher than R81, the **Type** field does not exist.

10. **Optional:** Configure **User Notification** settings. Most fields are editable

11. **Optional:** Configure **Scheduling** settings.
12. Click **Next**.

Procedure in the Endpoint Web Management Console
------------------------------------------------

1. Select the **Push Operation** , and click **+** The **Add Push Operation** window opens.
2. In the **Select Push Operation** window, select **Uninstall Client**.
3. Click **Next**.
4. In the **Select Devices**window, select the computers on which the operation should be performed.
5. Click **Next**.
6. In the **Configure Operation** window, configure the **User Notification** and **Scheduling** .

7. Click **Finish**.

**User (Client-Side) Notifications**
------------------------------------

By default, the operation is performed as soon as the client gets the request, and the user is not notified. This behavior can be changed in SmartEndpoint and in the Endpoint Web Management Console. SmartEndpoint is more flexible.

**Note:**

* Depending on the blades installed, uninstallation of the Endpoint Security Client can require several reboots. **Reboot is performed automatically and the user cannot prevent it.**
* Audit logs (SmartLog) of an uninstall push operation are not sent by a client that is being uninstalled.
* **After installation success, client objects reside on the server side, until they are removed after a defined period of time (usually 30 days).**
