# sk170273 - SmartConsole is slow and closes when installing policy on a Virtual Machine (VM)

## Symptoms

- * SmartConsole is slow.
* SmartConsole closes when the user installs policy.
* Administrators are "kicked off" SmartConsole when it installs policy, and it is not possible to connect again for many minutes.
* There is high Swap memory in CPView. <br />

## Cause

The VM has low RAM and uses Swap to compensate.
