# sk170238 - Drop logs for "Failed to resolve VPN MEP gateway" in a site to site VPN tunnel involving 3rd party peers with fully overlapping encryption domain

## Symptoms

- Drop logs for "Failed to resolve VPN MEP gateway" in a site to site VPN tunnel involving 3rd party peers with fully overlapping encryption domain.

## Cause

Known issue affecting R80.30 kernel 3.10 and R80.40  
A fix integrated into kernel 3.10 set the DPD callback value to NULL, and as a result, there is no auto probing. The `crypt_resolver_db` and `MEP_chosen_gw` tables are not updated after the initial probing.
