# sk170219 - All VPN tunnels that use a Pre-Shared Key fail during rekey

## Symptoms

- * All VPN tunnels that use a Pre-Shared Key fail during rekey.
* `$FWDIR\log\vpnd.elg` shows the following for all peers using a Pre-Shared Key:  
  `fwisakmp_get_preshared: pre-shared secret nil or empty for host XXXXX`.

## Cause

The `fwauth.NDB` file was corrupted.
