| Date Created | 2020-10-19 |

| Products | Security Gateway |
| Versions | R82.10, R82, R81.20 |
| OS | Gaia |

## Symptoms

- * When running "ifconfig" in expert mode and "show interfaces" in clish, the interface configuration is incorrect or not present as compared to the configuration on the VSX Gateway.

* After pushing configuration from the VSX Gateway object successfully in SmartConsole, the configuration of the VSX Gateway is unchanged.

## Cause

The Security Management Server compares the local VSX configuration files on the VSX Gateway against what is configured in SmartConsole. If there are no differences between the configuration files and SmartConsole configuration, no changes will be pushed.

The Security Management Server does not validate what is configured on the VSX Gateway versus the configuration in SmartConsole.
