# sk170133 - Acceleration does not work when using wire mode with SecureXL enabled

## Symptoms

- * Acceleration does not work when using wire mode with SecureXL enabled, VPN blade is enabled on the Security Gateway / VS, and the value of the parameter sxl_disable_wire_mode_accel is set to 1.

* Example output of the command: 'fwaccel stats -s':

  ```

## Cause

Wire-mode configuration (in different VPN community) is affecting other Security Gateways even if the community is not configured in the problematic Security Gateway / VS. This caused all the connections to be F2F.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.  
For faster resolution and verification, please collect [CPinfo files](http://supportcontent.checkpoint.com/solutions?id=sk92739) from the Security Management Server and Security Gateways involved in the case.

**Workaround:**   
As a work around add the following parameter to the file $FWDIR/boot/modules/fwkern.conf, and reboot the Gateway (refer to [sk26202](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk26202) for more information) :  
*sxl_disable_wire_mode_accel=0*
