# sk170060 - After upgrade of Security Management to R80.40, when user tries to uninstall Endpoint Security Client, he sees 'Error 27562 - Please check that the password you have entered is correct '

## Symptoms

- When user tries to upgrade locally, uninstall, or repair an E81.10 Endpoint Security Client, he receives an error message "Product: Check Point Endpoint Security -- Error 27562.Changing configuration of Check Point Endpoint Security is not allowed. Please check that the password you have entered is correct or contact your system administrator"

## Cause

**Environment:** Recent upgrade of the Security Management to R80.40.  

There is a known issue where the uninstall password is disabled after an upgrade to R80.40 Security Management for some clients. Attempts to use the password display that the password is incorrect. This is due to the addition of the challenge-response as an uninstall method in R80.40, and the policy not being processed properly by the client.  

To confirm, check if the following registry key exists on the client machine: `HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\Secure Uninstall\PublicKeyId`
