# sk170033 - Latency/Traffic loss in Scalable Platforms environment when using high-availability bond

## Symptoms

- * Latency/Traffic loss in Scalable Platforms environment with high-availability bond.
* The bonding group is configured in Active/Backup mode and has at least two physical slaves assigned to it.
* No primary slave interface is defined for the Active/Backup bonding group. <br />

## Cause

When no primary slave interface is configured for the Active/Backup bonding group, different SGMs may use different physical slaves as the active bonding group interface. This may cause traffic loss/latency.
