# sk169352 - Dynamic Dispatcher in VSX does not forward the connections equally to all CoreXL instances

## Symptoms

- * Dynamic Dispatcher in VSX does not forward the connections equally to all CoreXL instances.

* Installing the hotfix in [sk168513](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk168513) does not solve the issue.

## Cause

The Dynamic Dispatcher algorithm does not fully consider the different VSs on a VSX gateway.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

* [Check Point R81](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk166715)
* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R80.40](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk165456) starting from Take 91
* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R80.30](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk153152) starting from Take 227
* [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R80.20](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk137592) starting from Take 187
**After installing the fix or the aforementioned jumbo takes, the below kernel parameters should be enabled to enforce the new behavior:** # fw ctl set -f int fwmultik_enable_round_robin 1
# fw ctl set -f int fwmultik_enable_increment_first 1

* The change in behavior should be observed on the fly and without a need in reboot (it may take some time as old connections are already affined to specific instances)
* In order to allow these parameters to survive a reboot, the parameters should be added into the fwkern.conf file
* **Starting in the below versions, these Kernel parameters are enabled by default:**
 * R80.30 Kernel 2.6 JHF take 219 - PRJ-16349
 * R80.30 Kernel 3.1 (GOGO) JHF take 219 - PRJ-16352
 * R80.40 - integrated as a GA with any JHF take

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the most recent version
([upgrade Security Gateway](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=overview&product=435) / [upgrade Security Management Server](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=overview&product=184) / [upgrade Multi-Domain Security Management](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doShowproductpage&productTab=overview&product=166)).
If you choose not to upgrade, Check Point can supply a **Hotfix** . [Contact Check Point Support](https://www.checkpoint.com/support-services/contact-support/) to get a Hotfix for this issue.
A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.
