## Symptoms

- Random "Main Mode peer does not support IKE" error messages for Office Mode IPs in SmartLog in an environment with Remote Access users.

## Cause

The Remote Access authentication dialog pops up for re-authentication (per the settings at Global Properties -- Remote Access -- Endpoint Connect -- Re-authenticate user every: X minutes). The user does not enter his credentials. The IKE for the user then expires. Later, **the user enters credentials to authenticate, but the IKE entry for this user does not exists anymore, and this is the reason for the error message.**
