# sk169112 - Cannot search parts of a domain in logs view

## Symptoms

- In the logs view, using domain name as filter, for example: src: may not return results or return incorrect results. This effects mostly '.com' domain names.

## Cause

This is due to a DNS resolving issue which converts the domain name to an incorrect IP address and the IP address to an incorrect domain name.
