# sk169072 - Cannot perform logout for WEB API open sessions

## Symptoms

- * Logout fails for WEB API sessions of user WEB API.
* Show Policy Package Tool leaves an open session.
* Sessions of automatic scripts or third party software that run on Security Management remain open.
* While registring of a new CloudGuard Gateway service fails with "An error occurred during service creation - aborting", following sk164072 does not helps.

## Cause

1.) Logout of a session of WEB API application and WEB API user in read only mode does not work, due to a mechanism that creates an audit log for this operation.  

2.) In case of registring of a new CloudGuard Gateway **"vsec_config.elg"** prompts:
