# sk168881 - Packets are routed through a wrong interface

## Symptoms

- * On Gaia 3.10, packet is leaving the Security Gateway through the wrong interface.  

* In some cases, clearing route cache with "`ip route flush cache`" temporarily resolves the issue.

## Cause

Miscalculation in the routing mechanism causes the wrong interface to be selected as the outbound interface. As result, the packet does not reach the correct destination and traffic impact is experienced.
