# sk168614 - Export from R80.20 and above to R81 fails due to inconsistency with IPS packages in the database

## Symptoms

- * Export from R80.20 and above to R81 fails.
* Error (in upgrade_report and *$FWDIR\\log\\cpm.elg*): "Last IPS package - \<ips version\> - is corrupted and can't be exported. Please perform IPS update before exporting the database. In case you don't use IPS, please follow sk168614".

## Cause

Inconsistency with the latest IPS package.

## Solution

In order to resolve the issue do **one** of the following options:  

1) Run an IPS update on all the domains.  
2) In case IPS is not in use, and you cannot run an IPS update, to skip IPS export do the following steps:  

1. Remove all the usages of IPS protections if exist from all the threat exception rules (Threat Prevention -\> Policy -\> go over the exception rules, and remove IPS protections from the Protection/File/Site/Blade column)
2. Remove all IPS tags from user create threat profile (Threat Prevention -\> Profiles -\> double click on a user created profile -\> IPS-\> Additional Activation -\> empty both lists, and disable the "Activate IPS protections..." checkbox).
3. On the Security Management server, run the following:   
   *touch /var/log/upgradeWithoutIps*
4. Do the upgrade.
