# sk168434 - Endpoint Security Client cannot register with Endpoint Security Server when there is no connectivity with Active Directory

## Symptoms

- * Endpoint Security Client installed on a domain-joined machine cannot register with Endpoint Security Server, when there is no connectivity with Active Directory server (from the machine on which Endpoint Security Client is installed to Active Directory server).
* In *%dadir%\\logs* or *%programdata%\\CheckPoint\\Logs cpda.log* the following error can be seen:  

  ```
  
  DATE TIME e20 Startup: Endpoint not registered yet (CDA::doRegister)
  DATE TIME  e20 ##### Enter sendRegisterEndpoint (CDAProtocol::sendRegisterEndpoint)
  DATE TIME  e20 ---ERROR--- LoadAccount using account: XXXXXX, failed. Error: 1789(g_getCompSIDBySpecificName)
  DATE TIME  e20 Going to try NetBios account name: XXXXXX, to find SID (g_getNetBiosCompAccountName)
  DATE TIME  e20 ---ERROR--- LoadAccount using account: XXXXXX, failed. Error: 1789 (g_getCompSIDBySpecificName)
  DATE TIME  e20 ---WARNING--- No Sid retrived (g_getCompSID)
  DATE TIME  e20 ---ERROR--- Failed to get computer SID (CDAProtocol::createRegisterEndpoint)
  DATE TIME  e20 ---ERROR--- Could not create register-endpoint message (CDAProtocol::sendRegisterEndpoint)
  DATE TIME  e20 ---ERROR--- Startup: Failed to register or update register endpoint (CDA::doRegister)
  ```
