## Symptoms

- [CVE-2020-10713](https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2020-10713) states: "The GRUB2 boot loader is vulnerable to buffer overflow, which results in arbitrary code execution during the boot process, even when Secure Boot is enabled."

For more information, refer to <https://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/174059>.

## Solution

**Gaia OS versions R81.10 and lower** - Do not support GRUB2, therefore considered secured against this threat.

**Gaia OS versions R81.20 and higher** - Support GRUB2, but this threat is considered a very low risk because this vulnerability requires a privileged access, which is protected.
If the situation changes (SecureBoot becomes available), this article will be updated.
