# sk168340 - Anti-Virus Deep Scan causes performance issues

## Symptoms

- * Anti-Virus Deep Scan causes performance issues, for example, websites do not load or take a long time to load.

* Disabling Anti-Virus Deep Scan resolves the issue.

* Anti-Virus logs show:  
  `
  Reason Timeout was exceeded`  
  `
  Precise Error unknown error`

* There is an increase in CPU and memory utilization.

## Cause

Anti-Virus Deep Scan utilizes parts of Threat Emulation engine even if Threat Emulation is disable.   

There is a mismatch between some of the libraries builds used by Anti-Virus Deep Scan engine that caused the engine not to start.
