## Symptoms

- * Error message in SmartView Monitor: "`Could not connect to monitoring blade. Make sure the monitoring blade on the gateway is up and running.`"   

* Process is up and running on the gateway when checking `cpwd_admin list`, for example:

  ```
  
  RTMD       24758  E     1       [HH:MM:SS] D/NM/YYYY   N    rtmd
  ```

* Monitoring Blade is enabled on the gateway:

  ```
  
  # enabled_blades
  
  fw vpn urlf av appi ips identityServer anti_bot mon vpn
  ```
