## Symptoms

- Legitimate HTTPS traffic is dropped after an IPS package update.

## Cause

As part of our on-going efforts, Check Point develop and publish daily IPS packages, providing security coverage to vulnerabilities and attacks based on our threat landscape analysis.

On July 8th, 2020 an IPS package (634204548\\635204548) was released containing new and modified protections. One of the modifications included editing the meta-data of the protection "OpenSSL Padding Oracle Information Disclosure", an old protection from 2016.   
There was a malfunction during the process of creating the package causing the drop of traffic using the aforementioned protection.
