# sk167794 - "Operation ended with errors" message when trying to update an object

## Symptoms

- * "Operation ended with errors" is received when trying to update an object:

* in postgres.elg the following log is found:  
  ` 

  [DATE TIME] [PID] ERROR: Updating record from session 4 in table dleobjectderef_data with opid 1481288 which was already edited by session 43`

* query of the database for the object gives no results, for example:  
  `
  cpm=# select * from objectstoresessionentity where id='43';`  
  `
  (No rows)`

## Cause

When you try to edit/update an object which was already edited by another session, you will see a lock next to the object.  

In this case the lock is not seen, and when you try to update the object the error is received.
