# sk167715 - Creation of Wrp interface with MTU greater than 1500 fails

## Symptoms

- * Adding new wrp interface to a Virtual Switch with MTU greater than 1500 fails with error: "Internal Error - Failed to commit changes to OS".

* Similar log is found in /var/log/messages:  
  `
  [DATE TIME] vsx_r8040_gw1 kernel: wrp128: Invalid MTU 9000 requested, hw max 1500`

* In case it happens during an upgrade the upgrade will succeed but all wrp interfaces will not have an IP (Internal and cluster IP's)

## Cause

An issue with the Wrp interface driver.
