# sk167638 - Upgrade from R77.30 to R80.30 and higher using CPUSE does not complete as expected

## Symptoms

- * Upgrade of previously upgraded R77.30 device to R80.30 and higher using CPUSE is falsely reported to be completed and WebUI/Gaia Portal shows the new version installed.  

* Post the upgrade, the "fw stat" command returns "`local host is not a Firewall-1 module`".   
  Additional testing with other commands show that "fwm ver" and "fw stat" both print either "`not a firewall`" or "`not a management`".   

* Post the upgrade, The device is not defined neither as a Management, nor as a Security gateway:`

## Cause

Since this happens only on devices that were previously upgraded from pre-R77.30, the CPUSE Upgrade to R80.30 and R80.40 fails due to changes in the code of R77.x + R77.30 Jumbo HF.
