## Symptoms

- After clean install/reversion to factory defaults, an additional network interface named "ZTin" appears on the device.

* The interface appears only on clish "*show interfaces*."
* The interface does not appear in *ifconfig*.
* The interface disappears after First Time Wizard procedure.

## Cause

When a machine is freshly installed (ISOMorhpic / Factory default), a process called ZeroTouch allows you to pull configurations from the ZeroTouch portal and configure the machine.

The ZeroTouch process creates a virtual interface for its own use called "ZTin," This is an expected behavior.

When the ZeroTouch process finishes (either by pulling configurations from the portal / or when the user runs the First Time Wizard), the virtual interface is removed.
