# sk167574 - "Get operation failed: failed to get parameter fwha_mac_magic" error when running 'fw ctl get int fwha_mac_magic'

## Symptoms

- * When running the command: 'fw ctl get int fwha_mac_magic', the following error is received:  
  `"Get operation failed: failed to get parameter fwha_mac_magic"`

* The command 'cphastart' outputs the following error:  
  `

  get_mac_magic_params_from_policy: failed to fetch cluster ID from policy file

  fwha_read_boot_conf: failed to get MAC magic policy parameters.`  
  `

  Note: This machine is not defined as a part of any Cluster.`  
  `

  It is possible that the IP of this machine as it appears in your hosts

  file differs from the general IP of this machine in the Management server.

  Alternatively, Check your Cluster configuration in the Management server.`  
  `
  If this machine is no longer part of a Cluster, please disable Check Point ClusterXL or State Synchronization on it.`

* Enable/Disable cluster membership for this gateway does not resolve the issue.

## Cause

There is a different value set for mac magic on each one of the cluster members.
