# sk167556 - "JVMJ9GC019E -Xms too large for -Xmx" in cpm.elg after upgrade/MDS restore

## Symptoms

- * After Multi-Domain Management starts, `mdsstat` shows that status of FWM is "Pnd".  

* After running the `mdsstart` command, cpm.elg contains: `"JVMJ9GC019E -Xms too large for -Xmx"`

## Cause

XMX should show the maximum buffer size, and XMS shows the minimum buffer size.  
Therefore XMS cannot be bigger then XMX.
