## Solution

**The RTF file type** is now supported on "Extract" method on Threat Extraction since Update 2 (Take 13) of [Threat Extraction Engine](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk165832).  

### Configuration

In order for the extra file type RTF support to take affect:  

1. Edit the *$FWDIR/conf/scrub_web_additional_file_types* file with vi editor  

2. Add a new line with "*rtf* " (Note: zip should already be in there)  

3. Create a new file *$FWDIR/conf/scrub_additional_file_types*   

4. Write down "*rtf"* and save the file.  

5. Install the Security policy.
