# sk167197 - eth1-Sync Link State is flapping on Maestro

## Symptoms

- * Link state errors for eth1-sync appear in */var/log/messages* :

  ```
   
  sgm_pmd: Setting eth1-Sync cluster link state to up(current cluster state is unknown)
  sgm_pmd: Running: cphaprob link_state set local eth1-Sync -d full -s 1000M up
  asg_send_alert: [1_1] Site 1 eth1-Sync link is up
  ```

* REST API requests failed messages in */var/log/messages* :

  ```
  
  sgm_pmd: error: smo_rest_api_request_url: smo_rest_api_request_with_url: ERROR! Failed to Handle request. smo_rest_api_type = 3
  sgm_pmd: error: smo_rest_api_request: smo_rest_api_request: ERROR! smo_rest_api_request_with_url() failed.
