# sk167154 - Old logical route is stuck on the VS after modification of the route in SmartConsole

## Symptoms

- * After changing an exiting route which leads to a VR, both the old and the new routes are seen.
* Routed traces (set trace kernel all on) show:  
  `
  nexthops: scope local routes are deleted from kernel via another path. Not deleting`
* The file /config/active does not show the old route.
* Reboot might resolve the issue, although restarting ROUTED will not resolve.

## Cause

Updating an existing route information in SmartConsole is not supported.
