# sk167077 - Broken DNS settings remain on macOS after abnormal SNX disconnect

## Symptoms

- Broken DNS settings remain on macOS after abnormal SNX disconnect.

## Cause

SNX changes DNS settings for the main interface and reverts them after disconnect.   

In the case of an abnormal SNX process exit (terminate process, hard reboot, etc.), the DNS settings from SNX remain on the main interface. As those settings are kept in files, we cannot handle an abnormal termination event and restore the DNS settings to the default value.
