# sk167053 - Policy installation on specific gateway fails with "Invalid installation target received. Target gateway is not in the specific targets list for policy package standard "

## Symptoms

- * "`Invalid installation target received. Target gateway [name] is not in the specific targets list for policy package standard`" message in SmartConsole when attempting to install a policy on a specific gateway.   

* Despite the message, the Security gateway is visible in the list of destinations when trying to install policy.

## Solution

To resolve the problem, perform in SmartConsole:  

1. Right-click the desired policy -\> Edit  

2. Go to Installation targets.  

3. Select "Specific targets"  

4. Press +   

5. Add the gateway to the list.  

6. Save your changes
