| Property | Value |
|----------|-------|
| Solution ID | sk167034 |
| Date Created | 2020-06-02 |
| Last Modified | 2023-05-07 |
| Technical Level | General |
| Products | Spark Firewall (Locally Managed) |
| Versions | R81.10.X |
| Platform | 1570R, 1500, 1600, 1800, 910 |

## Symptoms

- * The user cannot find a security event in the logs on SMP.
* The user cannot find a specific log event in the local security logs.
## Cause

Check *$FWDIR/log/sfwd.elg* for errors like this:

`logRate [Mon Jan 1 00:00:00 2020]: log rate to cloud exceeded, sent 10001 logs in the past 2514 seconds (should not exceed 10000 logs in 3600 seconds)`
## Solution

This is an expected behavior: You cannot exceed 10,000 logs per hour.

Configure the Gateway logs to not log safe known connections or unimportant policies.

For example, you could configure the Gateway to not log guest WiFi users' information or internal traffic between hosts.
