## Symptoms

- * The output of the *installer download* command from clish, shows that there are no packages to display, for example:

  ```
  FW-1> installer download
  ** ********************************************
  ** Connection error. Packages list might be incomplete **
  ** ********************************************
  Show packages: no packages to display
  ```

  <br />

* "Checking for updates" from Gaia portal does not show any available packages for download.
* [sk81680](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk81680) does not resolve the issue.
* There is no connectivity issue, proxy server or security rule, preventing the Security Gateway from reaching the Check Point servers.
* In the Deployment Agent log '/opt/CPInstLog/DeploymentAgent.log', the following string can be found: 'Forced to work in offline mode'.
  This text in the log indicates that a database flag was set to force working in offline mode.

## Cause

The Security Gateway might have a 'force offline' flag set by the CDT (Central Deployment Tool - [sk111158](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk111158)), which was probably left there during an unsuccessful CDT operation.
