# sk166532 - "Error: Internal system error in HTTPS Inspection (Error Code: 2)" message in HTTPS Inspection Bypass logs

## Cause

**Cause for Symptoms # 1 and # 2** :  

This is a connectivity issue from the Security Gateway to a URL. SNI probing fails when engine settings are set to "Fail Open". If engine settings are set to "Fail Close" the result is dropped traffic.  

HTTPS Inspection probes the website for SNI, and if timeout occurs for the response, the internal system error occurs.

**Cause for Symptoms # 3** :  

The URL Filtering license expired.
