# sk166496 - "Failed to get certificate of CAname from keyset" error when viewing the root and the intermediate CA certificates

## Symptoms

- * The following error messages: "Failed to get certificate of CAname from keyset" is shown in SmartConsole when viewing the root and the intermediate CAs.
* fwm debug shows the following log:  
  `
  "Error decoding buffer after trying both DER and Base64 formats"`
* vpnd debug (vpn debug trunc) does not show the imported CA after pushing policy in the following section:  
  `
  fwKeyStore::fwKeyStore IKE Key Holder:`  
  `
  fwKeyHolder:`  
  `
  Root CAs`

## Cause

The certificate length is larger than the maximum buffer size, which is 4096 bytes.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

The maximum certificate length buffer size is doubled in this hotfix and a certificate up to 8192 bytes can be used.
